OPTIONS for Independence maintains a Loan Bank of assistive devices for the general public, prioritizing residents in OPTIONS' service area, including Cache, Box Elder, and Rich Counties of Utah. The equipment loan is up to 90 days, with a possible 90-day extension if necessary.
A deposit is required for the following equipment:
Hospital Beds
$100
Foot or Leg Rests
$25
Ramps
$100
Knee Walkers
$50
Bed Canes
$25
High Walkers
$50
Deposits are due when the equipment is borrowed and may be paid in cash or with a check. Credit and debit cards cannot be accepted for deposits. If the equipment is returned in good, clean working order, the deposit is returned to the consumer/representative in the same manner received at the time of the loan.
OPTIONS for Independence relies on donations to ensure the loan bank may continue to provide clean, safe, and reliable equipment. Monetary donations are accepted as cash, check, credit, or debit cards.
OPTIONS also accepts donations of gently used equipment (no direct medical-related devices, i.e., braces, oxygen tanks, can be accepted). When donations are given, receipts are available for money and equipment for tax purposes.
